WORK ABOUT CONTACT

Ramesh Nicolas Iyer grew up between British and Indian cultures. Raised by a single mother, he spent formative summers in England with his aunt, a renowned fine artist, surrounded by a vibrant creative community. A chance encounter with director Peter Weir during college ignited his passion for filmmaking.

Based in Los Angeles, he creates work with a European sensibility wrapped in Americana accessibility. Mysterious worlds where you're never quite sure what's happening, but you feel everything. He treats every project like a film. Brands become characters. Songs become visual metaphors. Meaning emerges from mood and tension. The clues are all there but left unexplained.

Recent work includes the music video for Layto's "My Head" and campaigns for Oxygene, DVS, and Big Red. Broader projects span celebrity-driven spots including Netflix’s first LED Volume production, a Super Bowl spot reaching 120 million viewers, launch of the new Apple iPhone, and scripted promos for Hulu.

His work has earned an AICP Award, seven Addys, ADC YoungGuns nominations, and a place in MoMA’s permanent collection.

He works with artists and brands willing to explore and dream.
